8) Fine Location Access

With android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION apps can find the precise location of the devices they are running on. In other words, apps can figure out where their users are. This is achieved using GPS or network location sources, like Wi-Fi and cell towers. However, in order for these location services to function, users must turn them on. 41% of apps from American use the Fine Location Access permission. Total 57,302 apps.

This location is generated by a combination of location services, including network location sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi. Similar to the android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION permission, these location services must be enabled by the user for the app to use them. 37% of apps from American use the Course Location Access permission.
